Mike was honored by the International Magician's Society in 2011 and 2012 where he was presented with the prestigious Performing Arts Entertainer of the Year award. In 2011 Mike was given the award at his sold-out theater show in Greenville, South Carolina in front of approximately 1,800 cheering audience members by Tony Hassini, Chairman and CEO of the International Magicians Society.
The following year in April, Mike was then presented with the award yet again for the Performing Arts Entertainer of the Year award in front of an enthusiastic 1600+ people crowd! It was a great evening, and this marked Mike officially winning the award back to back.
A rare and impressive feat considering this honor is bestowed only to those who have achieved the highest level in their craft both nationally and internationally. The criteria that the International Magician's Society voting members consider are talent, showmanship, originality, skills, and above all the rare ability to entertain.
The award is magic's equivalent to the Oscar. Previous winners include, Criss Angel, David Copperfield and Penn & Teller.
